Attention Bucks County residents: Be on the lookout for a boomerang-shaped object with white and red lights seen hovering over several areas of lower Bucks County in recent nights.
Yes, that’s right. Space aliens right in our hometown. What do they want? Will you be subjected to a painful anal probe? Will they mistake July 4th fireworks for a hostile act of war and launch a laser attack?
Ridiculous? Can’t be. I read about it in the Bucks County Courier Times.
OK, we can’t be too hard on the BCCT or writer James McGinnis on this one. It’s not as weird as it sounds, and it is actually something that’s being discussed around the county. Clearly something is going on, but I’ll go on record now as saying odds are pretty good that space aliens are not hovering over Bucks County.
According to the article, the boomerang shaped flying object has been seen above the Oxford Valley Mall area and in Levittown’s Vermillion Hills section.
In any event, UFO investigators from the group MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) are being dispatched to our fair county to investigate the strange occurrences. Based on the quote in the article, the group seems fairly legit. They actually wind up disproving about 93% of UFO claims they investigate.
Field investigator Elise Simon said the group probably would issue a finding in a couple of weeks. She wasn’t sure when the investigators would arrive.
“We’ll be talking to the local police, the FAA and the local media and any witnesses,” said John Ventre, state director for MUFON, who estimated about 93 percent of UFO reports turn out to be conventional aircraft. “That 7 percent, though, that’s the great part, because it really defies explanation,” Ventre said.
MUFON has chapters throughout the world. It’s considered one the largest UFO organizations, and claims about 3,000 members.
The MUFON site is pretty interesting as well. You can search for citizen UFO reports by State and County and filter based on the shape and color of the observed craft.
