May 14, 2012While the staid, dignified Preezy of the United Steezy was distracting you from his horrible economic record with announcements about unnatural “marriage” and $7 a month student loan breaks, the Government Accountability Office revealed that one US oil field contains “as much recoverable oil as the rest of the world’s proven reserves combined.”

The failed Obama administration has announced that it will release 30 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve over the next 30 days, citing a disruption in supply caused by the illegal war he started in Libya.

Red State is reporting that Democrat Senate leader Harry Reid is attempting to sneak an offshore shale oil drilling ban past distracted voters and Senators.
Harry Reid (D-NV) thinking the public and Senate are both distracted by the Paulson plan to bailout Wall Street intends to continue the ban on oil shale drilling.
He is doing it right now.
Call your Senator right now at (202)224-3121 and tell him to tell Harry Reid not to put the drilling ban back in the continuing resolution.
Section 1602 of the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2008 needs to get tossed.

After seeing the disastrous reaction to their hoax non-drilling energy proposal, it appears that Democrats are finally ready to give up and let the misguided ban on off-shore oil drilling expire at the end of September.
House Speaker (and Patrick Murphy’s brain) Nancy Pelosi got snippy and abruptly stormed away from a press conference on energy without taking questions when a group of protesters started chanting “Drill Here, Drill Now” according to the Rocky Mountain News.
“Right here? You want to drill right here?” Pelosi asked as John McCain supporters began their chant. “Can we drill your brain?”
Dignified.
Bucks County’s State Representative Chris King is planning to introduce legislation that would impose regulations on home heating oil companies in the state. Because adding a layer of bureaucracy is always a good way to keep costs in line, especially when the price of the underlying product is skyrocketing.

Congressional Republicans remain at work in Washington DC, protesting the Democrat-induced Congressional vacation, trying to get Congress called back into session so we can get an up or down vote on drilling to lower gas prices. But PA 8th Congressional District’s own Li’l Pat Murphy is at home enjoying the time off. Courier Times Now reports that Murphy is scheduled to judge a Zucchini race in Lower Makefield Thursday night. I guess anything is better than being forced by Mama Nancy to vote against drilling for lower gas prices in opposition the wishes of the voters in his district.
There’s apparently no end to the duties of a United States Congressman. Patrick Murphy, D-8, is scheduled to judge zucchini races about 5 p.m. Thursday at the Lower Makefield Farmers’ Market. The event involves painting and decorating zucchini squashes, attaching wheels, and racing them down a course, market organizers said. If Murphy can’t make it, the race still goes on, they added. The market is held every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the township’s Edgewood Pocket Park at the intersection of Edgewood and Heacock Roads.
Maybe Bucks Couny residents suffering from high gas and oil prices should send zucchinis to Li’l Pat’s office as a way to tell him to cut the play and get back to Washington and back to work for us.
