“I can make a firm pledge,” [Obama] said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12, 2008. “Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

He repeatedly vowed “you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime.”

Reuters has noticed that, apart from containing the largest deficit in American history, Barack Obama’s proposed 2010 budget also raises taxes on the middle-class, breaking a strong and clear vow the failed President made while campaigning for the office in 2008.

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell has his heart set on jacking up the state’s Income Tax by 16%.  The Republicans in the legislature are saying loudly they will not vote for a tax increase, and even some Democrats in the legislature are saying the same thing in quiet voices so Fast Eddie doesn’t hear them.

Maybe They’re Not Biased, Just Really Stupid

When dealing with the media, it’s sometimes hard to determine what is bias and what is lamentable stupidity. Take this gem from Robert Swift.  He bills himself as the Harrisburg Bureau Chief of Scranton’s Times-Tribune.  I just hope he doesn’t do their books.
