Failed President Obama is entirely broken up about the mass murder at Fort Hood, but he’s not going to let it get in the way of a well-earned “shout out” to “Doctor Joe: Medicine Crow” who attended some conference earlier in the day. First things first, of course.

Of course, the only reason this made it to air was because it was live. I’m sure no state-run news station will air the President’s callous statement as it was originally delivered. Smiling and joking around when the nation is tuned in to see his comments about the military base shooting?

He even got the shout out wrong! Joe Medicine Crow was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom (by Obama) not the Congressional Medal of Honor. The Congressional Medal of Honor is “the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the ARMED SERVICES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” You would think the Command in Chief would know the difference…
