Governor Sarah Palin came out swinging in her address to the Republican National Convention tonight, not only against Barack Obama but also against a media that has been waging attacks against her and her family – including her minor children – at the Democrat candidate’s implicit behest.
All the while, I was giggling to myself. The radical left and their idiot minions in the mainstream media shot themselves in the foot again, and it left a bigger hole than ever before. In launching attack after attack against the Alaska Governor and her all-American family for five days straight – most based in nothing but innuendo found trolling leftist blogs – they managed to somehow turn the acceptance speech of a Vice Presidential candidate into the biggest media event of a 19-month Presidential campaign.
Everyone who had any small interest in politics or the news tuned in with the expectation of watching a barely literate hillbilly “stewardess” fall flat on her face atop the biggest stage in the political world.
What the millions upon millions who were watching were treated to, instead, was 36 minutes of self-assured competence that won the election for John McCain and Sarah Palin and likely solidified a conservative electoral majority for several election cycles to come. She not only laid out the case for herself and her running mate, she eviscerated the Democrat ticket in a convincing way that left undecided and leaning voters laughing and wanting more.
Is it overblown to say that Governor Palin saved a Conservative movement that was waning in the eyes of the general public tonight? If she didn’t, she at least put a fresh, palitable face on conservatism and “Pressed the Reset Button.”
You have to be 28 years old right now to have even been alive in 1980 when Reagan swept in the first modern Conservative revolution. To a lot of voters, Conservatism is a dead man who makes their parents get emotional when he comes on TV. If not him, then it’s a man who they’ve heard attacked as a villian and a monster for the past eight years.
That perception changed on a dime tonight. The leftstream media has done a fantastic job convincing America that Governor Palin is as right-wing as they come. So the undecideds and the Obama-by-defaulters tuned in with that mindset and watched as a new face was attached to that label. A fresh, energetic and compelling face.
Welcome to the party, Palin Democrats.
If Sarah Palin didn’t turn America more conservative tonight, at the very least she made it OK for people who felt Conservative leanings but were uncomfortable embracing them in the current climate to do so.

I’m sure tonight is the last the media will allow us to see Sarah Palin without their filter. Be assured they are still well in the tank for their Messiah, and tonight’s stunning performance by the Governor will only find them redoubling their efforts to find out everything they possibly can about the reproductive organs of her minor children. She’s just too damaging to their chosen candidate otherwise.

This woman had more Obama-Biden knockout punches than Ali did in his prime!!
If Biden even thought of getting up off the mat, she already had them knocked out again.
And Sarah is no Hillary Clinton clone. That’s for certain.
She makes Hillary look like a sick guppy compared to Sarah’s confident, hard-hitting, mesmerizing, spot-on timing.
This morning, decent values-loving people across American are exuberant.
Everyone, that is, except the cabal of strident feminists down at our local toilet rag newspaper, who right now are twisting themselves into a pretzel at the thought of having to admit their vacuous heroes (Obama the Empty) has been totally outclassed.
The best comment of the past 24 hours (and there were many) was made by Jonah Goldberg, son of Lucianne Goldberg, who on Wednesday night said something like:
“Sarah Palin was put on this earth by God to do two things: hunt caribou, and kick Obama O’Biden’s butt…… and she’s just run out of caribou.”
