With Barack Obama on vacation cooling his jets in Hawaii, it seems a Clinton end-game to wrest the nomination from Obama is coming to fruition.
First, a virtual dump of internal Clinton campaign memos and documents portraying Obama as non-American and unelectable somehow made it the media.
Now, rumors that back up the “non-American” angle that the Clinton camp felt would be so effective are starting to percolate on the internet. Specifically, a charge that the Obama Certificate of Live Birth leaked to the liberal Daily Kos web site and subsequently posted on Obama’s own site is a forgery. It is rumored that the forgery was released because the real Obama Birth Certificate carries the name Barry Soetoro and implies that the candidate carried dual citizenship between Indonesia and the USA at some point in his lifetime.
Reports indicate that the “Soetoro Birth Certificate” is in Republican hands. Interestingly, the web site BarrySoetoro.com redirects to John McCain’s official web site.
Soetoro is the name on Obama’s Birth Certificate (BC) because a new BC was issued when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, his step-father. His original BC, which we assume was issued for Barack Hussein Obama at birth, would have been sealed at the time of the adoption.
Barry Soetoro probably acquired Indonesian citizenship in approximately 1965-1966, and may still hold it. He possibly changed his legal name back to Barack Hussein Obama as an older child, teenager, or adult, possibly never did – but even if he did, this procedure would not result in a change to the BC. (If he never legally changed his name back, I imagine his current name on the Presidential ballot would be invalid.)
The Birth Certificate published by Obama on his campaign website (still there, by the way) and distributed to the media was forged because the real BC on file is in the name Soetoro, an identity he apparently wanted to hide from the American people. I am getting reports from different sources that Obama traveled to Pakistan in `81 with an Indonesian passport.
This has the Clinton slime machine written all over it. This is exactly how they do it. Information get leaked, and they use one opponent to take out another opponent.

The only ‘counter’ argument I have seen is a classified ad that purportedly was placed in the Honolulu Times (or whatever the Hawaiian newspaper) in 1961 a few days after his birth.
It supposedly gives congrats and announces the birth of “Barack H. Obama” -
There was a photo of the ad on the internet a few weeks ago (forget where) which looked like the newspaper typeset circa 1961.
Of course that ad could also have been photo-shopped by someone in the Obama campaign, and released to investigators currently working on the story.
It will be interesting to see if Obama will eventually release his REAL birth certificate, and other documents relating to his birth and relocation to Indonesia.
That 1961 issue really isn’t in dispute. It’s whether it was amended subsequently with his new name / citizenship from what I understand:

It is no coincidence, Obama chose Hawaii at this time as his “vacation” spot. He KNOWS the BC he posted on his FightTheSmears site is a fake and I believe his visit with his Grandmother(without Michelle and kids) looks more like a “meeting” to coach grannie what to say in future inquiries to this controversy.
