Things to Do in Bensalem When You’re A Tool

All three of Patrick Murphy’s passionate supporters will cram themselves into a home in Bensalem, PA next Thursday night and try to stay awake while watching Nancy Pelosi work Li’l Pat’s mouth at the Democrat National Convention in Denver.

Note to attendees: Although it would likely help you in justifying the decision to support Nancy Pelosi’s Mini-Me, the rules in Denver are not transferrable to Bensalem.

Got a call today from someone who said that Zucchini story is making the rounds all over the country via the Internet.

Murphy has acquired the name “Zucchini Boy” for choosing to play around at the Zucchini beauty contest instead of debating energy solutions with challenger Tom Manion.

The sad part about that is , Tom Manion challenged Patrick Murphy to a debate at the Doylestown Township municipal building ,
even though he was told the board of supervisors had a rule against useing that building for any political purpose. But maybe the rules dont matter to some, but it shows us what kind of people listen to them, and would break any rules they have to do to get a name for them selfs.

If you’re going to copy other people’s comments from other sites and try to pass them off as your own, at least make sure they’re accurate.

When Manion was told the venue was not available, he reserved the hall at BCCC.

If all you guys have is this lame retread of — literally — nothing and mocking someone’s devotion to their dead son, November will be a Manion cakewalk.

    Go judge a zucchini.

Steven , are you saying there is no rule for debateing in that building?
If there is a rule about that dont you think Tommy should have known?
Before you defend someone dont you think you should know the rules?

    Steven Reply:

I’m saying it was a mistake in communication that was quickly corrected when it was pointed out, and it didn’t matter to the end result because li’l Pat is scared to debate Manion no matter what the venue.

You’re a Bucks County resident, do you know every arcane rule associated with the building?

    The Blue Eagle Reply:

Not using a public building for political events isn’t an “arcane rule”. It’s pretty simple, and pretty important.

    Steven,
    as Ronald Regan ,said!
There you go again. I speak all the truth and down the center. If Tommy Boy is running for a job of Congress he should know the rules of that game.

There, there Vincent. You can’t win every argument. Just take it in stride and move on.

If you’re going try and pass comments off that you read on other sites as your own, you should make sure they’re not from a site that I read regularly.

Did I not read someplace that the Doylestown Democratic Committee occasionally uses the the municipal town hall building for their monthly meetings?

(Ironic, isn’t it, that Doylestown Borough is controlled by Democrats)

How about the Memorial Day Parade ,Tommy Manion and other fellow Republicans from the old school used it to promote his Candidacy ,Even though Parade rules are very clear on this matter.,There are many veterans upset by the disrespect of promoteing people in this matter.I do apoligize for the Republicans that did this since they are from my party, but they are from the old school way of thinking .

    [Reply]

    Steven Reply:

Memorial Day is a day to honor soldiers that were killed in war. Tom Manion’s son was killed in a war. Are you really so dense and insensitive that you don’t see the connection or reason for him to march in a Memorial Day parade?

    [Reply]

    Edit35 Reply:

Speaking of parades, someone told me that Murphy had a Vote for Murphy float in the Southampton 4th of July parade, or one of those parades in Southampton.

As for Rodriguez’ smarmy comment, I attended that Memorial Day Parade in Croydon, and I also attended the Memorial Day ceremony at the Joseph Schumacher VFW which honored US soldiers, airmen or Marines killed in the line of duty.

Manion didn’t utter one word, not even an implied inference to anything political — nothing — during his two minute ‘thank you’ following the ceremony in which Schumacher VFW members honored the death of his son Travis in Iraq.

It was a somber event, with a very somber ‘thank you’ from a father whose son was killed in defense of America.

Rodriguez, you should hang your head in shame.

There you go again! His son, how about my brother or my cousin! How about the rules,
I cant wait to Patrick Murphy beats this man, and then i cant wait to Mike Fitzpatrick beats Patrick Murphy then we will be the true Republican witch i stand for, No Harry Potters magic, just 2 people who should not be in office for that job.

    Steven,
Patrick Murphy is in office now! He is a veteran, and past ,present, and future veterans admire a man who crawled out of Philly,Through Bristol, dodge bullets ,and made it to office. Tommy,is not in office!! used the parade to promote himself and took away the honor of all that gave their life to are wonderful Country by doing so.If Tommy was in office and yes he is a veteran iy would be fine to show where he came from and what he has done. But the time was not [right]

    Steven Reply:

No, because it doesn’t matter to the discussion that you’re having. Being in office doesn’t give Li’l Pat the right to campaign at a parade. Plus, if Li’l Pat dodged any bullets it was in Philadelphia or Bristol.

A friend of mine said his son might have pictures of Murphy’s campaign float making its way thru the Lower Southampton parade. Gonna call him and ask.

Also, Mr. ahem … Rodriguez —- What is this ‘what about my brother and cousin’ comment you seem to think is a valid argument.

Are you saying that your brother and cousin were veterans of foreign wars who were natives of Bucks County, and that the VFW refused to honor their deaths on Memorial Day?

Because that was the purpose of the Memorial Day ceremony at Schumacher Post in Croydon, where, by the way, they also honored (by specifically naming them during a 21 gun salute) all the Bucks County natives who passed away in the past year, either from natural causes or during overseas military service.

My brother is a chemist at merk and asked me always never bring anything his way, because i speak the truth and he is a union person ,but i can say this with out upseting him. I lost many brothers in [Christ] thanks to this war Tom supports.
