If you haven’t watched this week’s episode of FOX’s House yet, stop reading now.
Did you stop reading? I’m serious.
OK.
It seems that actor Kal Penn’s character on House, Kutner, put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger because Penn himself put a gun to the skull of his career and pulled the trigger. He’s taken off from the hit show on the wings of a unicorn, soaring over a rainbow on his way to be a PR flack / Obamagandist for HopeChange House.
Penn’s character, Dr. Lawrence Kutner, shot himself to death on Monday’s episode of the show. Kutner was one of the three medical interns working under Dr. Gregory House, played by the Emmy-winning Hugh Laurie.
Penn, who campaigned heavily for Obama during his presidential run last year, will work as the Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Liaison — and take a serious pay cut along the way, the magazine reported.
“There’s not a lot of financial reward in these jobs. But, obviously, the opportunity to serve in a capacity like this is an incredible honor,” said Penn.
