Weeks after declaring that the he does not consider the US a Christian nation at a press conference in Turkey, this morning the Confuser in Chief told a French interviewer that he considers the US “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”
In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

“And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” Mr. Obama said.
Three days have passed since a homegrown Yemen-trained Islamic terrorist attacked a recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas, killing one soldier and wounding another. Neither the President nor any official at the Department of Defense has issued a statement of condolence or outrage at the act. When George Tiller, a partial-birth abortion doctor who killed an estimated 60,000 babies, was murdered on Sunday, Obama issued an angry statement within hours. Now we know why the difference in reaction was so stark.
Yesterday, ABC News revealed that Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign lied about aspects of his Muslim heritage and upbringing on their “Fight The Smears” web site, a site ostensibly set up to combat what the campaign said were falsehoods about then candidate Obama.
Jihad Watch reports that, like many of Obama’s statements centering around verifiable facts, his characterization of the US as a “Muslim country” seems to be a rhetorical flourish at odds with reality and maybe more than a little Obama wishful thinking.
Indonesia: 200 million Muslims. India: 156 million Muslims. Pakistan: 150 million Muslims.
United States: 2.3 million Muslims (according to the Pew Research Center).

His point was simply that there are many predominately Muslim countries with fewer total numbers of Muslims than the U.S. Which is true.

Nice try, but big Fail. That was not his point, and comparing the US to countries the size of some of our smaller states to try and provide him cover is not only weak but a buffoonish use of statistics.
His point in this instance was what is point is in every instance: To tell a lie that sounds good to whatever target group he’s trying to appeal to at the moment.
Obama was literally BRAGGING about the number of Muslims in America, when as a self-proclaimed Christian (ahem…) he should be appalled that a religion so adverse to peace and liberty is actually making progress in our great country.
