In a comment at a Nevada rally on Wednesday that doesn’t sound very hopeish or changey, Presidential candidate Barack Obama urged his disciples to argue with non-believers and “get in their face.”
I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.
When the arugula chomping hippies start canvassing your street “getting in your face,” trying to convert you, you’ll know where the marching orders originated. And when you start hearing on the news about all the partisan physical altercations that broke out because evil conservatives just won’t listen to other opinions, you’ll know the truth.
Is this the “New Politics” we’ve been hearing so much about? Community organization through intimidation. I wonder if this call to action extends to polling places on November 4.
