Obama: “My Muslim Faith”

While lobbing a baseless attack on ABC’s This Week accusing Republicans of trying to paint him as a Muslim, Obama paints himself as a Muslim. The Obama campaign is in such a panic over his poll collapse that the candidate doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore. This is the gaffe that will keep on giving.

Of special note is Stephanopolous trying desperately to make up for the Bill Ayers question he purred at Obama in the debate this spring.

He misspoke and you know it. If you listened to the rest of the interview you’d realize how well he speaks with clarity, substance and conviction.

This gaffe will certainly be used against him because that’s the only way republicans can win. Lie to the people, over and over until enough people believe it. It worked for Bush twice so why wouldn’t McCain try the same thing. What a shame people can’t just be real.

  2. Jon says:

Until he releases all his records every gaffe I am taking seriously. To many unaswered questions?

  3. retire05 says:

jim, oh, please, stop, you’re making my sides hurt from laughing.

You think the Republicans are evil smear mongers while Obama’s operatives over at DailyKos and Huffington Post have called Sarah Palin every dirty name under the sun including that she was just a titty dancer in some Anchorage juke joint.

Let’s see: just to remind you of a few things said:

The baby, Trig, is really her daughters.
The baby, Trig, is really her daughter’s and her husband’s and he is a pedophile who commits incest.
She didn’t take care of herself and consequently is responsible for her son, Trig, having Down’s Syndrome (Allen Colmes)
Her daughter is a drunk as well as a slut (left wing blogger written by a woman, no less)

    How’s that for starters?

Now, take your little whining ass and go over to DailyKos where you will be right at home.

TKO – nicely done retire05 (and welcome to Bucks Right – seems like you fit right in)

    • jim says:

Well for starters, retire05, the few things you remind me of are blog-driven rumors and I don’t condone them. You are not talking about what the candidates are actually putting out there. Did you hear Barack Obama or Joe Biden say any of those things you mention? You’re talking about some of the media and blogs so…. Let me remind you, that it is both McCain and Palin themselves who are trying to spread false rumors these days and create fear that need not exist. It’s utterly desperate. They have nothing good to offer the American people in terms of specific policies that will help move the country in a better direction so they resort to what has worked in the past, put fear out there. That is not leadership, it is reckless and it does no good. So all the ridiculous things about baby Trig and such are just that… ridiculous. But you miss my point.

Regarding your invitation for me to go elsewhere, I like to hear from all the sides whether I agree with them or not. Helps me be a more informed voter. If you’re into exclusivity, perhaps you shouldn’t post comments on the world wide web.

  4. Steve says:

Do Christians usually say “my Muslim faith” accidentally, when they’re talking about their faith? Just wondering.

  5. Karl says:

Actually, I have never heard a Christian say “My Muslim Faith” ever.

  6. Steven says:

It explains how he could sit in a church for 20 years and have no idea what was being said there.

  7. Chris says:

I don’t understand how people can not see that he is nothing but a smooth-talker (and not even that without his trusty teleprompter!) He has virtually no experience but a huge ego. His economic plans will sink this country.

  8. tainopower says:

    i was a muslim before i was a chistian

  9. jim says:

Okay Rudy, mr. (guns & lots of ammo owner), you need to get some help. By all the cap letters in your reply, your anger is loud and clear. These kinds of lies will lead nowhere. You are apparently scared of positive change. No one wants to take your gun. Though personally I think guns are currently doing more harm than good, I also respect the constitution and your right to own a gun.

I’m wide awake, and, free like you. I seek and speak the truth. Barack Obama is NOT Kenyan, not Muslim and not a freakin’ socialist.

I encourage you to stop spreading fear, not only with the lies, but with your “lots of ammo” signature. I’m sure you’re much more than that.

  10. LaD says:

Since this country is blessed beyond belief, we need to remember that it was founded on God’s word and His rock! Ask yourself… WWJD!! Can you really be filled with Christ and vote for someone who has Muslim connections (I am not saying he is a Muslim)? There are too many questions regarding his beliefs and his background and WHY are they not releasing his school records? Perhaps he has a Thesis like his wife’s or even worse (why else hide it?)? He is a smooth talker, too smooth! He is like a wolf disguised as a sheep. I am not here to argue with anyone. Just be very careful and ask God to open your eyes, before you vote! I also disagree with his stance on abortion! We protect the eggs of turtles and put people in jail for messing with Eagle eggs, but we encourage abortion! Why not encourage adoption? What if YOU were the baby in the womb of the mother wanting an abortion? Do you deserve to have a say in the matter?

  11. Billy says:

Condi Rice said “my husband”, referring to George Bush, and she has never been married. Was that not a gaffe? Obama has been getting inferences that he is muslim all of his life, even though his mother and family raised him Christian. That’s an easier gaffe to understand than “my husband.”
