The radical lobby group supporting unnatural marriage has set its sights on the publishers of The Berenstain Bears, launching a petition campaign to end the characters’ association with Chick-fil-a.
Remind me again who the bullies are in this scenario. Hold your head up, Chick-fil-a. ”It gets better.”
I don’t know what they’re complaining about. Their lifestyle has already been represented in The Berenstain Bears. Don’t you remember the book where Papa Bear got a job in the high profile college football program at Bear State?
They say they’ve gotten 80,000 signatures on a petition. I’m sure all of those signatures are every bit as valid as their “marriages.”
The petitions urge HarperCollins to follow the lead of the Jim Henson Co., which pulled its Muppet toys from Chick-fil-A kids’ meals. A similar campaign with Berenstain Bears is slated for this month.
The creators of the Berenstain Bears say they don’t have control over whether the promotion proceeds. They have asked people with concerns to contact HarperCollins.
Jan and Stan Berenstain, creators of the Bears, were long-time Bucks County residents. They’re both dead now.
