Troopergate is the name given to the bogus, trumped up investigation into Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan after Monegan allegedly refused to do anything to investigate or discipline her allegedly out-of-control brother-in-law State Trooper Mike Wooten.
The Alaska legislature is investigating whether Palin abused her power in firing Monegan. Many familiar with the full story wonder if someone ought to be investigating why Wooten was allowed to carry a gun and badge after all the allegations and admissions about him surfaced.
A site called Health Care BS uncovered the information below regarding the “non-partisan” Troopergate investigation.
I have independently verified that Health Care BS appears to have correctly identified Hollis French and Kim Elton in the image below, and that the image below does appear on Health Care BS exactly as presented at Barack Obama’s Official Campaign Site without any alteration.
If there was any doubt that Troopergate is a partisan witch hunt, that doubt is gone.
The man overseeing the “investigation,” Sen. Hollis French, is the bald guy near the back (fifth from left, by the Obama ‘08 posters). Any doubts about this hack’s objectivity yet?
Well, it gets better. Last week, for obvious reasons, Rep. John Coghill asked the Alaska Legislative Council to remove French from the probe. Coghill’s request was rejected:
On Monday, the head of the Legislative Council turned down his request. Democratic Sen. Kim Elton responded that he is sure that partisan politics can be kept out of the probe.You know what’s coming, right? Senator Elton is also in the picture. So, there it is. The guy overseeing the troopergate ”investigation” and the man charged with keeping him honest are both proud Obama partisans. If ever there was a put up job, folks, this is it.
