Barack Obama and the assortment of liars he has hired as a White House staff to help spread the misinformation about his agenda that’s necessary to pass it are at it again.
In a blog post dated early this morning that touts the government health care takeover plan Barack Obama belatedly offered after a year, White House Obfuscation Director Dan Pfeiffer writes the following.
What you can’t do just yet is read about the Republicans’ consensus plan – because so far they haven’t announced what proposal they’ll be bringing to the table.
The blog post follows yesterday’s comment by White House Propaganda Minister Robert Gibbs.
We hope Republicans will post their ideas, either on their website or we’d be happy to post them on ours, so that the American people could come to one location and find out the parameters of what will largely be discussed on Thursday.
The Republican plan has been on the web for months. And, according to a spokesman for Minority Leader John Boehner, Obama has known about it for at least a couple of weeks because Republicans told him about it directly when he inserted himself into their retreat.
Mr. Gibbs needs to talk with his boss. Our health-care alternative — the full text of the legislation — has been available at healthcare.gop.gov for months, which President Obama knows, since he discussed it with us in Baltimore a few weeks ago.
There is clearly no reason for Republicans to participate in Thursday’s health care “summit,” which is shaping up to be little more than a scripted dog and pony show. This little attempt to mislead the American people is just the latest example that the White House will not be participating in good faith.
