Not that anyone was asking, but first-term Virginia Senator Jim Webb stated in unequivocal terms that he does not wish to be considered as Barack Hussein Obama’s Vice Presidential running mate.
“Yeah, right. Me as VP? Like a first-term Senator should be anywhere near the White House! You don’t want someone with so little experience running the country, believe me.
Ah, I wish that was the quote. Here’s what Mr. Pompadour really said in a written statement.
Under no circumstances will I be a candidate for vice president…Last week I communicated to Sen. Obama and his presidential campaign my firm intention to remain in the United States Senate, where I believe I am best equipped to serve the people of Virginia and this country.
