In Liberal Dictionary Each Word Gets New Meaning: Racist

Little did I know as a child that my parents were smearing me with an epithet each time they accused me of being “disrespectful.”

That’s right, “disrespectful,” as used in the new McCain ad highlighting the dismissive statements Barack Obama and (obvious minority) Joe Biden have made about Governor Sarah Palin, joins the ranks of “‘elistist’, which is another word for ‘arrogant,’ which is another word for ‘uppity’,” “risky,” and “community organizer” in the list of supposed “racist code words.”

Check out the latest McCain ad, especially the line, “How disrespectful.” Doesn’t it just drip with contempt? The sort of old-fashioned contempt that whites often held blacks in (and obviously still do). Take a look.

Of course, “white America, the US of KKK-A” and “White Folks Greed Runs a World In Need” are perfectly acceptable discourse from the guy that Baptized your kids.

When Obama and his minions in the media used the tactic against Hillary Clinton, Sean Wilentz called it the “race-baiter card” in lefty publication New Republic.  You accuse your opponent of racism through your surrogates in the media and, when it turns out there’s no evidence, tie the claim to unprovable “code words.” It worked in the primaries among Democrats who are wired to automatically believe that kind of thing. It’s, as yet, unproven as a general election strategy.  I guess we’ll soon find out how it plays, because it’s being used in overdrive.
