A new Quinnipiac poll of registered voters released this morning shows failed President Barack Obama with his lowest job approval numbers yet, and reveals that half of all registered voters don’t think Obama deserves a second term. Only 41% say he does.
The stunning numbers represent a steep drop from less than a month ago, when 47% said Obama deserved to be reelected.
What’s the game plan, Republicans? To keep funding the wildly unpopular programs of this wildly unpopular President?
The decline in support for a second Obama term comes as his approval rating has dropped 4 percentage points since early March, landing at 42 percent – a record low – in the poll released Wednesday. His disapproval rating has risen from 46 percent to 48 percent.
The downward shift may in part be the result of dissatisfaction over U.S involvement in Libya, with 47 percent of those surveyed saying they oppose it.
