A group that actively advocates ignoring the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States has endorsed the Obama / Biden ticket. There is no word as to which other portions of the Constitution the group advocates repealing.
The endorsement is not surprising, considering Obama has supported a total ban on all handguns and the banning the sale or transfer of all semi-automatic firearms.
Much has been made of Obama’s long-time affiliation with foundations led by domestic terrorist and education radical Bill Ayers, but Obama sat on other boards as well. Obama spent eight years as a member of the Joyce Foundation’s board, which doled out nearly three million dollars to fund “legal scholarship advancing the theory that the Second Amendment does not protect individual gun owners’ rights, as well as two groups that advocated handgun bans. And it paid to support a book called ‘Every Handgun Is Aimed at You: The Case for Banning Handguns’” according to Politico.
During Obama’s time on the Joyce board…the foundation gave seven grants totaling more than $2.5 million to a group that wants Congress to take much more proactive action: the Violence Policy Center.
The D.C.-based nonprofit, which calls itself “the most aggressive group in the gun control movement,” for years has argued for a national handgun ban.
In a 2000 study called “Unsafe in Any Hands: Why America Needs to Ban Handguns,” the group concluded that Congress could and should ban handguns nationwide “soon” and allocate $16.25 billion to buy back the 65 million handguns it estimated were then owned by civilians.
The study dismissed as “pure myth” the theory that the Second Amendment bars such strict gun control laws.
During his 1996 run for the Illinois State Senate, Obama submitted a questionnaire verifying that he supported banning “the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.” Although the questionnaire bore the candidate’s own handwriting, he later used his default “I didn’t know” excuse and blamed the answer on staffers.

I’m actually happy about this endorsement. I will make sure to print it out and display it at the gun show this weekend so the bitter clingers up North will believe us when we tell them Obama will be a disaster for gun rights. Obama is running like hell from his gun record when he or his surrogates are speaking in Pennsylvania.
