I’m not the world’s biggest fan of Glenn Beck and, to be honest, at times I find his constant shilling of his latest book or concert hall appearance intolerable. But I’ve got to admit that he has been hitting all the right notes and really taking it to the failed Obama administration more pointedly and more effectively than anyone else – including Limbaugh – for the past few months.
There’s no better evidence of this than how he’s thrown the administration totally off their game and baited them into a fight with FOX News that simply cannot turn out well for them. When the White House Press Secretary is calling out your time period from the podium, you’ve got the White House by the balls.
In contrast to the stink the feud is putting on the White House, Beck’s ratings are through the roof. On October 19, for example, he had more 25-54 year old viewers during his hour (765,500) than CNN’s total viewers for that hour (696,000) and MSNBC’s total viewers for that hour (459,000).
In total, 2.6 million people watched Beck’s 10/19/2009 show. CNN, MSNBC and Headline News had less than 1.4 million viewers COMBINED. He almost doubled all other cable news combined.
Now Beck has turned his attention to the media, shaming them into speaking up for the 1st Amendment. All with the help of a tiny little dog in a pink collar.
