false_teethVia TVNewser comes a Washington Whispers report that FOX News has canceled long-running Saturday evening staple The Beltway Boys.

The Boys’ Website says the show is “preempted this weekend,” but [Washington Whispers' Paul] Bedard’s sources tell him the show has been canceled.

Hosts Fred Barnes and Mort Kondracke celebrated 10 years of the show last summer. They are expected to stay on contributing to other FNC programs.

Outcast: Dems Don’t Like Benedict Arlen Either

benedict_arlen

Although all you saw during yesterday’s “100 Day Knob Gobble” marathon was grinning and love glances between Benedict Arlen Specter, Slow Joe Biden and President Thin Skin , truth is that things aren’t going so well between Specter and his new Decmocrat brethren in the  Senate.

At issue are the committee-related bribes offered to Specter by Majority Leader Harry Reid in exchange for his defection. It seems that the rank-and-file Democrats aren’t in love with the idea of giving up their own seniority in exchange for a vote they would have probably gotten on most issues anyway.  And by “aren’t in love with,” I mean “are furious over.”  For a group of folks on the ruling side of one-party rule, they sure seem unduly angry all the time.

NRSC Doesn’t Seem Too Keen On Toomey

Orrin Hatch, vice-chariman of the National Republican Senate Committee, doesn’t think Pat Toomey can beat disgraced Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter in the 2010 General Election.  Some are speculating that the NRSC may even recruit a candidate to challenge Toomey in the Republican Primary.

One name being bandied about, as I reported here yesterday, is former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge.

An Enchanted Evening for New York Times’ Zeleny

In an active display of why the New York Times is bankrupt and nearly out of business, “reporter” Jeff Zeleny embarrassed himself in front of whatever small part of the nation actually tuned into the “Obama 100 Day Knob Gobble” by wasting one of the pitifully few questions allowed of The One.

During these first 100 days, what has surprised you the most about this office? Enchanted you the most from serving in this office? Humbled you the most? And troubled you the most?

Failed President Barack Obama continues to undo Bush policy, specifically that whole “bringing honor back to the White House” thing, as he attacks FOX News and the hundreds of thousands of people who took to the streets to protest his out of control spending and tripling of the national debt in three months.  Honestly, what’s the bottom point of how low he will bring the Office of President?

(Video Below) When you see, you know, those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we’re going to stabilize social security. Claire and I are working diligently to do basically a thorough audit of federal spending. But let’s not play games and pretend that the reason is because of the Recovery Act, because that’s just a fraction of the overall problem that we’ve got.

CNN’s Sanchez: What The Hell is Freedom?

CNN’s resident drunk driving expert (but not expert drunk driver, unfortunately for the late Jeffrey Smuzinick) Rick Sanchez becomes incredulous and confused while discussing freedom with Republican Senator Jim Demint (video below).  Sanchez takes the anti-freedom position.

Tom Ridge Stirrings

I’m officially raising the “Tom Ridge Reemergence Threat” warning level to “Yellow” or “Elevated” at this time.  With the defection of “Benedict” Arlen to the Democrat party, leaving the Republican race with no incumbent and a wishy-washy state party nervous about Pat Toomey, there is a significant risk of the reemergence of Tom Ridge to fill the RINO void. Please be extra vigilant, have plenty of duct tape and plastic sheeting on hand, and report any sightings of Tom Ridge in campaign mode to the proper authorities.

While many Pennsylvania GOP figures harshly criticized Specter for his defection to the Democratic Party, Ridge released a wishy-washy statement praising Specter: “In no way does his departure from the Republican Party diminish his long record of service to his country and to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”

It sure sounds like Ridge and Specter have a lot in common.

The Tom Ridge Reemergence Threat warning level was briefly at “Orange” or “High” this summer, when Ridge was discussed as a possible running mate for John McCain, but has been “Blue” or “Guarded,” reflecting only the general risk of Tom Ridge running or obtaining public office, since that time.

Welcome to day 100 of our descent.  The leftstream press is certainly working hard to make you forget the hundreds of thousands of people who poured into the streets two weeks ago protesting the use of massive borrowing to resolve a credit crisis, the fact that key Health related government posts aren’t filled as we face a global pandemic, and the reckless Air Force Dumb photo-op attack on New York City.

Terror Scare

Former Kenyan citizen and current American President Barack Obama’s teleprompter told the President to say that he is furious with himself over allowing his office to order his airplane to buzz New York City yesterday, and promised to fully investigate himself over his “mistake.”

The flyover — apparently ordered by the White House Office of Military Affairs so it would have souvenir photos of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty in the background — had President Obama seeing red. He ordered a probe and apologized.

“It was a mistake. It will never happen again,” President Obama said.

Arlen Specter To Change Parties

Human Events is reporting that Pennsylvania Arlen Specter is set to announce his switch to the Democrat party today.  I guess that should read, “official switch back to the Democrat party,” since he was previously a Democrat and has supported their failed policies as a RINO ever since.

Some may remember Specter from the first cut on his Greatest Hits album, helping lefty murderer Ira Einhorn elude justice.

Washington Post confirms, and points out that there is now no firewall to protect against the Obama socialist agenda.  OK, they put it a little bit differently.

It wasn’t all that long ago when PA had two Republican Senators and a Republican governor.

Special thanks to George W. Bush and Rick Santorum, whose support of Specter helped him defeat conservative Pat Toomey in the 2004 Republican primary.  Thanks guys.
