Green Party Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney has announced that she has solid information (from someone’s mom) that Hurricane Katrina was used as an excuse to execute 5,000 males who she believes to have been prisoners with a single gunshot to the head. McKinney says that the bodies were later dumped in a Louisiana swamp by request of the Department of Defense.
And people say the blogs won’t give coverage to third-party candidates. Here it is!
I guess the reason that this information is just coming out now is that no bad information about the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina or its aftermath really made it out of New Orleans. It was pretty much reported as an orderly cakewalk for rescuers and the administration if I remember correctly. The news media would have been right on board to cover this up at President Bush’s request.
Candidate McKinney made the announcement at a conference in Oakland, Ca, for the Critical Resistance 10 on Sunday. While speaking she informed the audience that she has received information from a sources that were involved in the clean-up and disposal of the thousands of bodies. According to the source; who wishes to remain nameless at this time, he was charged by the Department of Defense with the task of processing the personal information into DOD computers and then dumping the bodies into a Louisiana swamp. McKinney also claims she has spoken to unnamed members of the Red Cross that this event did in fact take place.
But even better than reading a quote from the (incorrectly sourced) summary by a lefty blogger is watching the clearly disturbed McKinney tell the tale in her own words.
You have to wonder about the future of a party who would nominate this strange woman as its Presidential candidate.
