Chris King didn’t attend a rally scheduled in Lower Southampton or call his opponent, Frank Farry, for his win in the 142nd district.
King supporters waited for his arrival at an Italian restaurant on Street Road.
“He didn’t show up,” said one supporter. “We’re leaving. But there are still people in [the restaurant.]”
At one point the election results were being displayed with a projector, but as the numbers for King dwindled the display was shut down.
The King campaign didn’t want to comment.
If you’re looking for a small glimmer of something good tonight, let it be that we’ll have a man committed to community representing PA’s 142nd House district in Harrisburg rather than a sniveling crybaby.
Says winner Frank Farry…
“I want to thank the people of the 142nd District for electing me to represent them in Harrisburg,” Farry said. “It’s a humbling experience to go through a campaign like this and receiving the opportunity to serve your community. … Tonight’s victory sends a clear message that we need to move in another direction in Harrisburg. … I’ll stand up for the people of this district every day, even if it means standing up to the leadership of my own party to advocate for the people I represent.”
