August 29, 2008Word on the street is Pawlenty and Romney are out. Everyone is focused on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin right now, with conflicting reports that she was on a chartered plane from Alaska to Ohio and that she is still in Alaska.
That’s change! A white male plagiarist and DC insider who has been in the Senate for 35 years. This is a VP nomination like we’ve never seen before.

{BucksRight} - A country awaiting the announcment of Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential running mate was dealt a surprising blow Friday afternoon when the candidate released a written statement admonishing supporters and the media that “answering the running mate question with any specificity is above my pay grade.”
Aren’t Friday afternoons in August the time you choose to release damaging or embarrassing information because it’ll get less media play? How could this apparent delay in the running mate decision and announcement be seen as anything other than a sign of incredible disarray in the Obama campaign?
This is the first major decision a Presidential candidate has to make. The fact that it has been so clearly mismanaged and wrought with apparent indecision doesn’t instill a lot of confidence when it comes to the executive skills of “The One.”
And if he winds up turning to Hillary to save his damaged candidacy, I think any benefit will be overshadowed by the weakness it telegraphs. Making the solely political choice of turning to someone he so clearly dislikes because it’s the only way to save himself would be bad news.
And that’s not even taking into consideration the damage to Obama’s Hopey-Changey message that would come from picking the most typical old-school politician available to him because of typical old-school electoral concerns.
I can’t think of a worse choice for the Obamessiah. Maybe Gore, but not by much. Kerry?
The idiot convention starts on Monday.

It could be typical Obama campaign incompetence, a ruse by the campaign, or some skilled but illiterate Photoshoppers at work, but a screen shot purporting to show a CNN story declaring Indiana Senator Evan Bayh as Barack Obama’s pick for the Vice Presidential nomination is making the rounds. I’m going with the Photoshopper option.

It could be genuine or it could be typical August pre-decision misdirection, but according to CNN there’s significant scuttlebutt that Barack Obama will pick Delaware Senator Joe Biden as his running mate.
NOTE: I’ve seen this post disingenuously used as some sort of analogy to Obama calling Governor Palin a pig on September 9. Sorry, not even close. If you liberals really don’t see the demeaning sexist connotation to calling a woman a “pig in lipstick,” you’re either totally clueless or so blinded by your love for your false Messiah that you’ve given up all of your former principles. You can read why here.
Original Post:
When asked about his contentious primary race with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, John McCain compared the battle with Romney to “a wrestling match with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.”

Not that anyone was asking, but first-term Virginia Senator Jim Webb stated in unequivocal terms that he does not wish to be considered as Barack Hussein Obama’s Vice Presidential running mate.
“Yeah, right. Me as VP? Like a first-term Senator should be anywhere near the White House! You don’t want someone with so little experience running the country, believe me.
Ah, I wish that was the quote. Here’s what Mr. Pompadour really said in a written statement.
Under no circumstances will I be a candidate for vice president…Last week I communicated to Sen. Obama and his presidential campaign my firm intention to remain in the United States Senate, where I believe I am best equipped to serve the people of Virginia and this country.
Via (believe it or not) Co-Ed Magazine comes a report that John McCain has chosen former Massachussets Governor Mitt Romney as his running mate for the Presidential Election.

I’m going to come out right here and now as firmly in the Sarah Palin camp when it comes to the Republican veep-stakes. And not just because (to put it delicately) she’s easy on the eyes. Sure, that’s part of it. Who wouldn’t love to see the comely Alaska governor up at a podium debating the rather ghastly Hillary Clinton?
