Keeping the mock level high and the ridicule dead-on, the McCain campaign has released an ad entitled “The One” that pokes fun at Barack Obama’s Messiah complex.
Some people in Hollywood are upset at John McCain for pointing out that the Obamessiah is nothing more than an empty suit celebrity. So the LA Times Wing of the Democrat Party went out and found some vacuous stars to defend Obama against the charge that he’s a vacuous star. Makes sense to me.

The actual McCain campaign might seem like a flailing mess without a message right now, but all of McCain’s broadcast ads have been tight, crisp and effective. The latest, called “Pump” and focused on domestic drilling, is no exception.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has invited presumptive Republican Presidential nominee John McCain to see ANWR for himself.
To hear the LA Times tell it, there is no fracture in the Democrat party over Barack Obama’s hard right turn since becoming the Democrat nominee. All those pissed-off liberals you see tearfully exclaiming “But we thought you were the changey Messiah!” are just an optical illusion. The printed left-coast version of Baghdad Bob would like to direct your attention elsewhere now, thank you very much.
Contrast this with the assumed rift between the Republican nominee and the wife of a former Republican President as reported in the LA Times. As evidence, they resurrect a 28-year-old falling out between McCain and the Reagans that conveniently also allows them to dig deeply into the very relevant matter of McCain’s uncontested 1980 divorce.

Well, that whole respecting-John-McCain’s-military-service thing from Barack Hussein Obama’s patriotism speech lasted all of about three hours. Rand Beers, a current Obama adviser and former Kerry adviser lashed out at John McCain’s service record in front of a liberal group this afternoon, even claiming that McCain’s years in a POW camp made him less experienced in national security then, say, a dirty hippy who was protesting in the streets during those years.

Lesser of two evils John McCain visited Bucks County today, holding a town hall style meeting at the Worth and Company warehouse in Pipersville.
Via PennPatriot comes word that Pennsylvania’s Senior Senator Arlen “Better than a Democrat” Specter has written a favorable review of Senator McCain’s energy plan for Allentown’s Morning Call.
