Democrat Patrick Murphy was never meant to represent Pennsylvania’s Eighth US Congressional District but, through happenstance, left-wing funding and the good fortune of having a sliver of Philadelphia included in the district that represents Bucks County in Congress, he was accidentally elected in 2006.  This is a mistake that needs to be corrected in 2008.

Tom Manion is a born leader and a private citizen who was inspired to participate in governing and run for Congress when his son was tragically killed in Iraq.  Manion brings years of military and private sector experience to the task, and his views match the values of Bucks County voters.

Patrick Murphy has proven to be a rubber stamp for the far-left radical ideals and agenda of House Speaker and San Francisco representative Nancy Pelosi. Their records and values are joined at the hip.  Bucks County and San Francisco are not the same. Why do the representatives of these areas share an agenda?

Murphy is wrong on the war, wrong on taxes, wrong on energy.  We are not represented in Congress by Patrick Murphy.  Patrick Murphy represents another vote for San Francisco in Congress.  Bucks County deserves a vote and voice in Congress all our own.

Defeat Patrick Murphy.  Elect Tom Manion.

The Case Against Patrick Murphy:

November 1, 2008

I was pretty thrilled to see a Vets For Freedom ad on television tonight lambasting Bucks County’s accidentally elected Democrat Congressman Patrick Murphy for turning his back on our troops in combat and calling them failures.

When voting keep in mind that Patrick Murphy said Congressman Jack “My Constituents Are Racists and Rednecks” Murtha has “long been a hero of” his the same year Murtha smeared our Marines in Iraq as cold-blooded killers.

Television ad below.

Vets for Freedom, who have endorsed strong pro-military and security minded Congressional candidates like Bill Russell (against John Murtha in PA-12) and Tom Manion (against Nancy Pelosi’s stooge Patrick Murphy in PA-8), are compiling signatures on a petition urging Murtha to reject and apologize for his false smears against the Haditha Marines.

VFF is also currently running radio commercials for Manion.

John “unindicted co-conspirator” Murtha seems to be an unstoppable smear machine, having smeared his own constituents as “racist” and “redneck” in the past couple weeks.  As a result, he is particularly vulnerable this election despite his protestation that there is “no Goddamned way” Russell will beat him.

National Review Online lands a direct hit on Pennsylvania’s M&M brothers, Democrat congressmen Jack “My Consituents Are Racist Rednecks” Murtha and Patrick “What Do I Say Now Mama Nancy” Murphy.

Congressmen John Murtha (Pa.-12) and Patrick Murphy (Pa.-8) — Pennsylvania’s antiwar “M&M brothers” — both face tough races against fellow military veterans, and both are taking their stubborn statements and outdated war-policy positions to voters. The question is: Will voters see the real Murtha and Murphy before they cast their ballots?

It seems that voters in Western Pennsylvania don’t like being called “racists” and “rednecks” by their Congressional representatives.

A new poll performed by Dane and Associates show a dramatic shift in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional district.  Democrat Jack “Maybe I’ll Be Interested In That Bribe In The Future” Murtha, who has been in Congress for 38 years, now trails Republican challenger Lt. Col. Bill Russell by 13 points.  Murtha now garners only 35% support.

In the 2006 election, Murtha defeated Republican Diane Irey with 61% of the vote.

Democrat Congressman John “Unindicted Co-Conspirator” Murtha says he made a mistake when he called western Pennsylvania a “racist area” last week.  What he really meant to say was that the area was once filled with “rednecks” but is much less redneck-ish now.  Not totally, though.

That clears it up.

Murtha, who issued a non-apology the day after the “racist” comment, followed up by ducking out on a debate with Republican challenger Bill Russell.

Democrat congressman John “Haditha Smear” Murtha, who yesterday maligned western Pennsylvania as a “racist area,” has canceled a debate with Republican challenger Bill Russell hours before the event was scheduled to take place.

Alex Charyna of PA Watercooler reports on an email he received from Russell’s campaign manager Peg Luksik.

tonight’s debate has been cancelled. Apparently, Mr. Murtha does not want to face his constituents, but is okay with calling them racists.

Feel free to call EVERY news outlet/talk show/ blog you can think of and scream about this latest example of his unwillingness to even pay attention to his constituents.

Murtha famously smeared US Marines as having committed “cold-blooded murder and war crimes” surrounding a now debunked charge that Marines massacred civilians in the Iraqi town of Haditha in 2005.

Tell me again how John McCain is “erratic” and “cranky.”

UPDATE: PA Democrats are on the run.  It seems Democrat Paul Kanjorski bailed on a scheduled forum with surgining Republican challenger Lou Barletta last night.

Troop-hating unindicted ABSCAM co-conspirator Democrat Congressman John Murtha says western Pennsylvania – apparently all of it – is a “racist area.”

“I think Obama is going to win, but I don’t think it’s going to be a runaway,” he said. “I think he wins Pennsylvania.”

Mr. Murtha said it has taken time for the state’s voters embrace a black presidential candidate.

“There’s no question Western Pennsylvania is a racist area,” said Mr. Murtha, whose district stretches from Johnstown to Washington County. “The older population is more hesitant.”

Hmmmm.  Murtha is 76 years old and resides in the western Pennsylvania city of Johnstown.

Murtha’s challenger is Bill Russell.

Cha-Ching.  The tally of tainted Patrick Murphy money keeps piling up.

There’s another $14,000 of questionable campaign funds keeping disgraced Congressman Charlie Rangel’s contributions company in Murphy’s coffers.  Murphy received $14,000 from groups associated with Democrat leader Rahm Emanuel and from Emanuel’s campaign according to challenger Tom Manion.

Emanuel has been implicated by ABC News in trying to cover up the sex and hush money scanadal of Florida Democrat Tim Mahoney, fearing revelations about Mahoney would harm his reelection chances.

In front of the general public, Congressman Patrick Murphy tries to project the image of a staunch Catholic and strong supporter of America’s troops.  Murphy even sits as a national co-chair on Barack Obama’s Catholic Advisory Council and on the House of Representative’s Armed Services Committee.

But his far-left benefactors know the truth behind the Murphy facade. They see the public Murphy, then they look at the votes and hear him brag about his 100% Pro-Abortion rating from Planned Parenthood, and they know their money is safe with him.

That’s why, when it comes time to stick some more money next to that big, fat check from disgraced Congressman Charlie Rangel in Murphy’s coffers, local singer LisaBeth Weber is happy to come out and play.  She’ll be appearing at “a concert to benefit the re-election of Congressman Patrick Murphy on Friday, October 10 at George School’s Walton Center in Newtown” according to a Craig’s List ad and an advertisement at Murphy’s own site.

Is this a Murphy sanctioned event?

According to her lyrics, Weber finds herself “at odds” with “all that put their faith in” God (actually, according to the printed lyrics, “god”).  Aside from being grammatically unseemly, this would appear include Mr. Catholic Advisory Council himself, who she’ll be singing to raise money for.  I wonder if the part about being “at odds” with Murphy’s beliefs will be discussed before or after the Murphy / Rangel cash register goes “cha ching.”

And our soldiers at war? The ones Mr. Armed Services Committee so strongly champions? According to Weber, they’re apparently all war criminals.  All she wants to do is “understand the reasons for the crimes” they’re committing.  And, lest you think Weber is singing a patriotic rant against enemies of America, she makes it clear that her vitriol is directed at those who “tell us it’s for freedom” and taunts “Who’s the killer now?”

More general unhinged moonbattery at her blog.
