Call For Opinions on Comment Procedure

Quick meta-question regarding the way the site works specifically related to comments.

The comment package we’re using which allows for “Threaded Comments” (clicking “Reply” directly below the comment you want to reply to, keeping discussions grouped) also allows for an email notification to be sent to a comment author when someone replies to his/her comment.  In other words, you’d receive an email when someone replies to one of your comments on the site.

I currently have this turned off, but was wondering if commenters would prefer to be notified via email when someone replies to one of their comments.  It would save you the trouble of having to keep checking a post to see if anyone had replied to one of your comments.

It doesn’t matter to me either way - I receive email notification of all comments anyway.

If you want to be notified of replies to your comments, or if you feel that this would result in too many emails coming your way, feel free to leave your opinion either way in a comment to this post or by emailing me using the Contact Form.

I want to make the site as user-friendly as possible, and figured getting direct input from the users on this would be the best way to do that.
