Here’s everything you need to know this morning…

Think Executives Are Incompetent Now? Wait Until You Can’t Pay Them.

Failed President Barack Obama is set to announce caps on executive pay that will effect not only executives at companies that accepted assistance from the US government, but also companies in the financial sector that wanted nothing to do with TARP money and haven’t accepted a single dime. I’m assuming the theory is that the best way to repair a damaged industry is to make sure they can’t attract the best and brightest and live in fear of becoming nationalized.  Must make sense; 52.7% of voters got snookered into voting for this kind of thing.

Sort of Like A Broken Clock, Except Lindsey Graham is Right A Lot Less Than Twice A Day

Lindsey Graham is actually doing something right.  He and Senator Joe Lieberman are threatening to filibuster a war spending bill unless the provision they added – banning the release of so-called military torture photographs – is left in.  House Democrats, friends of the military that they are known to (not) be, are threatening to defeat the measure unless it’s stripped out.  Reports say Nancy Pelosi is behind it.

Obama is For Pay-As-You-Go, Except When It Comes To His Priorities

Barack Obama made a big stink about announcing his “Pay-As-You-Go” (or “PayGo” if you’re a child) idea. It’s easy to require programs to be funded once you’ve already bankrupted the country with $12 Trillion in debt. Buried deep in the news reports, though, is the little matter of the new rules not applying to Barack Obama’s pet projects.

It would carve out about $2.5 trillion worth of exemptions for Obama’s priorities over the next decade. His health care reform plan also would get a green light to run big deficits in its early years.

Ohio Cops Taze and Then Shoot 5 Pound Dog Three Times

jack-the-dog

I’m a big fan of law enforcement types and place great value on the things they do to keep this society livable. That said, this bullshit I’m constantly reading where they shoot first and ask questions later when it comes to dogs has got to end.  This particular dog got out of the family’s yard while they were at a funeral, the cops cornered to dog on the porch, the dog nipped at the cop with his massive 5-pound dog teeth in his massive 5-pound dog jaw, and a second cop tazed and then shot the dog three times.

The cops aren’t alone in blame for this.  Keep your friggin’ dogs in the house, especially when you’re not around. If the cops show up at your door, lock the dogs in a crate or in another room.

I’ve been bitten by little dogs.  It’s frustrating and you get as mad as hell, but it really doesn’t hurt that much and you’re not damaged for life.  This family is.

Obama Remembers No One, And No One Remembers Obama, Before – Like – 1990

World Net Daily continues barking up the “Barack Obama Is A Mystery Man” tree, and is thwarted in every attempt to uncover any information about Barack Obama’s early years.  They’re swatted down asking for Barack Obama’s school registration information, his Occidental College and Columbia University Records, and, of course, the ever-elusive birth certificate.

I swore off the birth certificate stuff months ago, not because it’s not fascinating but because the guy is President and if anyone can block information from being released it’s the President: Nothing is going to come of it.

But I can’t remember a time when we did not have information about a President’s (or even a Presidential candidate’s) college record.  I can’t remember a time when a Presidential candidate’s friends from their formative years weren’t on the stage at the convention extolling their virtues.

FOX News contacted hundreds of Obama’s Columbia classmates, for example, and none of them remember him. And, apparently, the amnesia is mutual.

Campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told [The New York Times] in October 2007, “He doesn’t remember the names of a lot of people in his life.”

And that’s just weird.  How in the hell does he use Facebook?
