Using the Obama Administration’s kind of math I read about a billion articles and watch about a thousand videos a day. Based on my extensive research, here’s everything you need to know this morning.
Asked to Explain Jobs “Saved or Created,” Biden Says “Not An Economist”
Asked to explain the administration’s phony “150,000 jobs saved or created” statistic by a reporter on a conference call, Vice President Slow Joe Biden replied that it was “above his pay grade” (sounds familiar) to understand the figure and reminded reporters…
“I’m sorry I’m not an economist, ” Biden said as he was describing the methodology. “My background is foreign policy and the constitution. “
I Know I’m Hotter Than You. The State Run American Media Told Me So.
An anonymous bidder recently paid about $20,000 for a nude photo of French First Lady Carla Bruni (you will see the photo if you click the link). Rumor has it that an anonymous bidder recently offered Michelle Obama $10,000 to take off the fright mask. It looks like this photo was snapped right after she said “I’m not wearing a fright mask.”

Boy Genius President Tries to Answer a Policy Question Sans Teleprompter:
“Sort of God” gets a simple question about North Korea and Iran and turns it into an incoherent three minute stammer fest. Sarkozy seems embarrassed for him.
New York Republicans Take Control Of The State Senate
Except for election night, pretty much as exciting as it gets in politics. My favorite is the guy to the previous Senate President’s left, frantically searching the rule book for a way to stop the power shift and taking phone calls like he’s Howie Mandel on Deal or No Deal. Funny…Republicans don’t seem like the extinct party to me.

NYT Stumped: When You Devalue The Currency, The Cost of Commodities Goes Up?
The New York Times seems entirely perplexed that the cost of gasoline would rise as the US Government prints and borrows trillions of dollars, devaluing the currency.
Americans are getting slaughtered at the pump. Where is Barack Obama? On the golf course?
Bristol Township: Still a Hell Hole
Feet are dragged clearing asbestos out of elementary schools (reminder: this is 2009), and if you are lucky enough to have a dollar or two to spend you’re likely to be forced to the floor at gun point trying to spend them.
Economic Reporting, Then and Now
As the economy improved and recession ended under George W. Bush in 2003, the media couldn’t talk it down fast enough, but as the economy declines and the recession deepens under Barack Obama in 2009, it’s all sunshine and apple fritters.
