Biden to Obama: “I’m Getting Hard.”

At the Windmill Ice Cream Shop in Aliquippa, Penn, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, asked his running mate if he was getting hard of soft ice cream.
“Let’s see what we’ve got here,” Obama said as he approached the counter.
“So,” he said to Biden, “you decided to go with soft?”
“I’m getting hard,” Biden said. “I’m a hard guy.”
Chuckles all around as Obama orders his wife a small sundae.

My daughter told me this morning that my (estranged) in-laws are supporting McCain/Palin…. and have totally abandoned Obama the Empty.
Significant in my mind, because they are life-long died-in-the-wool Democrats who are so rabid they snuck over my house in 2004 and ripped down my Bush/Cheney yardsigns, and replaced them with Kerry/Edwards.
They are among the crowd who sees the world in terms of ‘those rich Republicans are stealing my health care. Those evil Republicans are keeping me down.’
They need to get Palin out in front of microphones so that people can get to know her before the Dem smear machine is allowed to take hold. The moment people see and hear her, they like her. She’s very endearing.
