Arlen Specter: Donovan McNabb Is A “Failure”

Turncoat Washington hack and Democrat Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter told the editorial board of the Delaware County Daily Times that Donovan McNabb is a “failure” because the Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback lacks “a killer instinct.”

Rush Limbaugh was excoriated in 2003 and blocked from owning an NFL franchise this year for saying that McNabb was over-rated and given a pass for mediocre on-the-field performance by the media because “the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.”

If Limbaugh’s comments about the media were racist, I guess Specter’s comments were “really racist.”  Or maybe even “really, really racist.”  I know there’s some kind of scale.

[F]ormer Republican U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter stopped by Thursday to sit down with the Daily Times editorial board.

The first question he was asked (by my Eagles-obsessed boss) was about the senator’s frequent stints on sports talk radio station WIP.

Donovan McNabb’s name came up and Specter didn’t pull any punches.

“Donovan doesn’t have a killer instinct” and that’s why “he’s always been a failure,” he said.

Snarlin’ Arlen knows a little something about the killer instinct. He also knows something about the biological (and political) response known as “fight or flight.”

In April, when he saw there was no way he was going to beat Pat Toomey again in a Republican primary, Specter took wing and flew to the Democratic party.

He can say what he wants about McNabb, but at least Donovan never came out of the locker room at half-time dressed as a Dallas Cowboy.
