Americans are taking a long last look at Barack Obama before casting their ballots next month, and what they see is driving them to vote for John McCain in droves.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average sits at 64% of it’s 13,991 52-week high and the most unpopular President in modern times, a Republican, sits in the White House. Still, AP/Yahoo (PDF Link) needs to poll 14% more Democrats than Republicans to give the Democrat candidate for President a 2 point within-the-margin-of-error lead.
IBD/TIPP’s poll, the most reliable predictor the 2004 election winner, puts Barack Obama’s lead at three points.
Gallup, using their time-tested traditional voter turn out model, shows Barack Obama leading by two points.
Rasmussen shows an Obama lead of 4.
To listen to the outdated legacy media is to believe that Barack Obama has this race sewn up. They are wrong, and the trend is strongly in McCain’s favor at this moment with no debates left to change it.
