Is Bucks County becoming the bank robbery capital of Pennsylvania? According to the Courier-Times, the Citizen’s Bank at Middletown’s 413 and New Falls Road intersection was robbed this morning. The Lower Southampton Fulton Bank was robbed yesterday. There have been several other bank robberies in the area as well.
Apparently unrelated, police from several local departments and county officials descended on a nearby apartment building to protect residents from a suicidal gun-wielding man reportedly barricaded inside who, as it turns out, was at work at the time and apparently neither suicidal nor armed.
I feel safe. Maybe it’s time to descend on the banks and leave the empty apartments undefended.

I wish I could take credit. I’m pretty sure some guys robbing a dozen banks would have made it into the media without my help, though.
Interesting that, until yesterday, the BCCT was reporting there was 1 MLB Bank Robber. Now last night’s article and this morning’s by the Trentonian says it’s a duo. Is it really possible that it took police in about 5 different towns and the FBI 12 robberies to figure out the number of perps, or were they withholding that information for some reason?
Also note that neither of these two in the MLB robberies match the description/picture of the guy who robbed the LSH Fulton bank last week.
For some reason, it’s open season on area banks.
